An agreement has been signed between the University of Padua and one of the most important university institutes in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. The agreement will open the doors of the two establishments for exchanges of research staff and students.
On April the 24th,
the Rector of the University of Padua and the President of the Catholic University
of Ethiopia signed the collaboration agreement.
The aim is to promote contacts between the two Universities and to launch exchange
programmes of staff and students in relation to particular skills, as for
example in the field of engineering.
The Catholic
University of Ethiopia currently offers three-year degree courses in Laboratory
Technology, Medical Services and Social Services qualifying people to become
Social Assistants.
Starting in the next academic year, courses will also be offered in the Faculties
of Medicine and of Engineering.
Through this provision of quality education, the University will prepare future
leaders, helping them to develop their professional skills and to take on
responsibility for creating a just and sustainable development.
