New Executive Director appointed for La Salle Foundation
We are pleased to announce Ms. Angela Matulli as the new Executive Director of De La Salle Solidarietà Internazionale ETS (also known as La Salle Foundation)!
The President, Brother Armin Luistro, Superior General, recently announced this appointment in the announcement to the Lasallian community on June 15.
“By unanimous vote of the Board of Directors of the Foundation during the meeting held on June 15, 2023 at 2:00pm Rome time, her appointment takes effect immediately. “
Angela Matulli follows a long and distinguished 25-year career of Brother Amilcare Boccuccia who, along with Brother Pedro Arrambide, founded the La Salle Foundation in 2011.
La Salle Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to promote fair and inclusive education, for everyone everywhere.
It’s a group of Lasallian women, men, and religious who ardently believe that education drives change for the betterment of individuals, communities, and the world. This is why La Salle Foundation supports Lasallian educational centers located in the remote areas of the world and serving those in vulnerable conditions.
In 2022, La Salle Foundation realized 62 solidarity projects to ensure education, environmental sustainability, personnel’s capacity building and equal opportunities for women & marginalized communities in 22 countries of our Lasallian Family.
More than 70 K children and youth benefitted from the positive impact of La Salle Foundation, who raised more than 7 million US dollars (Learn more by reading their Annual Report 2022).
Brother Amilcare noted that the appointment of Angela “brings strength, depth, and great energy to the position.”
Angela was formerly the Associate Director for Development and has 12 years of experience working with the Foundation. Angela indicated she is “honored and excited about this appointment” and looks forward to continuing to serve the mission of the Foundation.
