MISEAN CARA – Holding a Members’ Learning Event
After undertaking research on “Transformative Child Safeguarding” in South Africa, Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria, Misean Cara is holding a Members’ Learning Event on Thursday 30th January 2020, at the Marino Institute of Education, Dublin 9, to present and discuss our new research report “Transformative Child Safeguarding: Insights from Missionary Development Projects in Africa.” The keynote address will be given by our De La Salle Brother Antone Oloo, Director of the La Salle Catholic School in Nairobi and Chair of the Kenya Members’ Safeguarding Steering Committee, which is featured in the research report!
Misean Cara is an international and
Irish faith-based missionary movement working with some of the most
marginalised and vulnerable communities in developing countries. It is working to realise their human rights through
delivery of basic services in the areas of education, health, livelihoods and
income generation, as well as advocacy, networking and community mobilisation. The
movement is made up of 91 member organisations working in over 50 countries.
