Jesus is risen and he has gifted us with peace!
Jesus’ peace is a gift of wellbeing. By our baptism we are commissioned to be peacemakers, providers of wellbeing, with Jesus. When we welcome the stranger, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick and touch the hearts and teach the minds of children and young people we enable others to live life to the fullest and experience wellbeing.
Let us celebrate Jesus’ resurrection by working for the common good, building bridges supported by tolerance, dialog and mutual respect, by service to the poor and by always saying yes to fraternity and always saying no to armed conflict.
May we witness to the resurrection by cooperating with our sisters and brothers in discovering the already-present but often overshadowed Reign of God, a reign of peace, compassion and wellbeing for all.
Driven by the Holy Spirit, let us rise with Christ and go out and bring peace to the world.
