Brother Visitor appointed for a second term
Brother Jean-René Gentric has once again been appointed Visitor of the District of France and French-speaking Europe for a 4-year-term (from 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2026).
Brother Jean-René is originally from Landudec in Finistère. At the end of his novitiate in Quimper, he took his first vows in 1974 and his perpetual vows in 1985.
The call of God was strengthened through the accompaniment of the first Brothers he met during his formation, the communities to which he was sent and in his ministry as an educator and professor of literature.
After working in Brittany, Brother Jean-René was called in 2010 by Brother Jean-Paul Aleth, Visitor.
From 2010 to 2018 he served as Assistant Visitor, more precisely in charge of the Lasallian mission. In 2018 Brother Superior General Robert Schieler, Superior General, appointed him as Provincial Visitor of the District of France (that became District of France and French-speaking Europe in 2019). His appointment has been renewed in February 2022 for 4 years.
