A new resource for deepening Lasallian spirituality

At the end of 2019, the Secretariat of Association suggested the General Council and CIAMEL that they create a group of Lasallians, Brothers and Partners, from all the Lasallian Regions to carry out a project to deepen Lasallian spirituality. To gather all the realities and needs, our Secretariat, together with the Lasallian Research and Resources Service of the Institute, asked all the Districts what resources they were using and what they would like to have in the future.

In mid-2020, the group began to meet by videoconference once a month. After initial discernment, it was decided to create an interactive graph condensing the essence of Lasallian spirituality; a written text that clearly develops what we mean by Lasallian spirituality, in terms of dynamisms and lived experience; and a final section called ‘horizons’ that can offer elements for reflection and concrete actions to bring our spirituality to life.

After the pandemic, the group was finally able hold an in-person meeting in July 2022 in view to finish the work.

Thanks to the editorial contribution of the Communications Service of the Institute, we are happy to finally share this resource. The document, along with other initiatives, is intended to be that leaven which nourishes further reflection and enables us to share with all members of the Lasallian Family the importance of spirituality in the present context of shared mission and Association.

We invite you to click on the graphics, read the articles carefully and let yourself be questioned by the horizons… Where does the Spirit want to lead the Lasallian Family?
