Br Patrick Joseph Hanlon, born in 1952, has been re-appointed Visitor of the District of Ireland-Great Britain-Malta (IGBM) by the Superior General, Br Armin Luistro. His appointment will take effect from 1 April 2023 until 31 March 2027.
Br Benedict took the habit in 1968 and made his first vows in 1969. His final vows were made in 1977.
Already Auxiliary Visitor between 1991 and 1993, he was appointed again for two more terms between 1993 and 1996.

The District of Ireland-Great Britain-Malta (IGBM) includes religious communities and educational ministries dating back to the late 19th century. The first Brothers arrived in England in 1855, in Ireland in 1880 and in Malta in 1903. During the 20th century there were various separations and mergers until the formation of the present District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta in 2015. The District today encompasses 3 countries, 35 schools, 5 pastoral centres, 76 Brothers spread over 11 communities, more than 21,000 students and more than 3,500 Lasallian partners.
